From Salman Khan to Vidya, these actors worked for free in ‘Raja Shivaji’

Riteish Deshmukh’s film ‘Raja Shivaji’ has been released. The film has received good response from the audience. In this film, Rivesh played the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is a historical action drama film that released in theaters on May 1.

This is Ritesh’s first film as a director. In his latest interview, Riteish said which stars have not charged a single penny for his film? He has done all this because of his respect for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his long-term relationship with me.

Riteish opened up about his bond with Salman and Abhishek Bachchan. He said, ‘I have a lot of love and respect for both of them. It is an ambiguous bond. If Salman or Abhishek ask me to do something I will say yes without thinking twice because they have thought of me, so I have to support them.

He continued, ‘Abhishek didn’t even ask me about his character. I think I have earned this in 23 years. I will always be indebted to him for this. Ritesh said that the actors who worked in this film did not take a single rupee. The list included Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, Boman Irani, Genelia and myself. I have spent almost three and a half years scripting and researching this film. When these actors were approached about the project, the topic of money did not even come up during the conversation.

Box office collection of ‘Raja Shivaji’

‘Raja Shivaji’ has done a business of Rs 46.28 crore at the box office. The makers hope that the film will get a good response over the weekend.
