CM Vijay gave special permission to Trisha Krishnan’s film, but still the screening could not take place
There was a lot of drama at the release of Tamil film industry’s big stars Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s new film ‘Karuppu’. Fans of the RJ Balaji-directed film have been waiting for the past 32 months, but just hours before the film was scheduled to release on May 14, several major theaters suddenly stopped booking online. Due to this, a lot of panic spread among the fans and many rumors were spread on social media about the film.
New Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has taken a big step amidst the difficulties in the release of the film. Relieving the film, he gave official permission to show the special show at 9 am. After the Chief Minister’s decision, the film team thanked him and it seemed that all the problems were over, but some theaters still had to cancel shows due to technical and internal problems, causing huge hardship to the fans.

Various decisions
Various theaters expressed their views regarding the booking and cancellation of the show. Uma Rajendra Cinemas said that the booking was stopped due to some internal reasons which will be rectified soon. Vasu Cinemas announced on social media that this time they will not be able to screen the film ‘Karuppu’ in their theatres. He decided not to screen the film but wished the entire team of the film.
RJ Balaji’s message to fans
Amid this entire controversy, the film’s director RJ Balaji came to social media and expressed his opinion. He openly admitted that many hurdles are coming in the way of the film’s release and he doesn’t have a clear answer to every question right now. He emotionally said that he has reached this far by God’s grace and is confident that the makers of the film will solve these problems soon. He appealed to fans not to lose heart and wait a little longer.

Huge advance booking
Despite all the hiccups in the release of the film, Surya and Trisha’s fans have not lost their enthusiasm. People were so crazed about this film that just 36 hours before its release, an advance booking of Rs 1.90 crore was done in Tamil Nadu.
