A voice that ruled the Indian music world for decades has been silenced forever. Asha Bhosale is not staying. On Sunday, he bid farewell to the world at the age of 92. Asha Bhosle was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday evening due to chest infection and weakness.
Doctor Pritit Samdani, who was treating Asha Bhonsle, said that she has passed away. Many of his organs had stopped working. Asha Bhosle was ill for the past several months. His granddaughter Janai Bhosale has also confirmed the death. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also termed his death as an irreparable loss for the country.

In 2002, the Birmingham Film Festival held a special tribute in his honour. The Government of India awarded him Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second highest civilian award.
