Argachi returned from Islamabad praising Munir, Iran remained steadfast on these issues


Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Arghchi’s short visit to Pakistan has come to an end. Argachi has left Pakistan after submitting his list of demands to Pakistani leaders. Earlier, Arghchi met Pakistan’s military and political leaders in Islamabad for a full day on Saturday and apprised them of Iran’s demands and concerns. It is believed that this meeting between Iran and Pakistan will pave the way for further talks with America. However, Iran has made it clear that there will be no trilateral meeting with the US.

On the other hand, the White House said that the US ambassadors Steve Wittkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Islamabad today. Where there will be talks with Iran. While Iran’s Foreign Ministry says there is no plan for direct talks.

Iran has conveyed its concerns to Pakistan. Pakistan will share these things on the arrival of the American delegation. If the US shows interest in Iran’s demands and concerns, Pakistan will prepare the ground for direct talks between the US and Iran. However, let us tell you that the first meeting between Pakistan and America was held on April 11 and 12 in Islamabad. But it was decisive.

Iran’s biggest concern is the US blockade. It has been demanded to end it immediately. Tehran has agreed to fully open the Strait of Hormuz. As in the previous meeting, it is believed that there is little hope of agreement on issues such as the missile program and the transfer of enriched uranium.

Arghachi praised Asim Munir

Abbas Aragchi arrived in Islamabad on Friday. On Saturday, he met Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghai and Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam were present in the meeting. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other officials attended on behalf of Pakistan.

Abbas Arghchi later praised Asim Munir’s mediation efforts. Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency released Arghchi’s statement. Abbas Arghchi praised the Pakistani government, particularly Field Marshal Asim Munir, for establishing a ceasefire and ending the war and said he agreed with Iran’s views and concerns on the matter. Asim Munir said that Pakistan is ready to continue mediation until a solution is found.

Shahbaz told – the issues that were discussed

After the meeting with Asim Munir, the Foreign Minister of Iran met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. Shahbaz Sharif wrote on X, ‘Today I was very happy to meet Iran’s Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Argachi and his delegation in Islamabad. We had a very cordial and friendly exchange of views on the current regional situation. We also discussed various matters of mutual interest including further strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran.
