Many military bases have been targeted. In Bamako itself, fierce shooting is happening near Mali’s main airport. Apart from this, explosions were heard near military bases. Mali’s military says fighting is still ongoing.

According to media reports, two large explosions occurred in the morning near the home of Mali’s military ruler, General Assami Goita. There is continuous firing here. Militants have also attacked the Kati military base outside the capital Bamako. The army is conducting its operation in the vicinity using helicopters.

According to media reports, firing is going on in the cities of Gao, Kidal and Severay. The army has also maintained its position.
