The madman murdered his wife and 7 children, went to the roof and killed the child.

On Sunday in the southern state of Louisiana, an armed man entered two different houses and shot and killed 8 children, including his 7 children. The killers did not stop there. He injured two other people. However, later the police killed the accused. The incident is being considered as one of the worst shooting incidents in the US in the past two years.
According to police, the incident happened in an area south of the city of Shreveport, where the suspect first entered a home and shot a woman. After this he reached another house where this heinous incident was carried out. Shreveport Police Department spokesman Chris Bordelon said the bodies of seven children were found inside another home, while one child was found dead on the roof, possibly trying to escape.

The condition of two women is critical
According to American officials, the condition of the two women who were injured in the shooting is critical. Bordelon said the children who were killed were between one and 12 years old, while one of the injured women was a mother of seven children who were killed by their father. He said that the accused has been identified as Shamar Elkins, who was chased and killed by the police.
The scene at the scene is horrifying.
Investigators are yet to clarify the motive behind the incident. Bordelon said the case initially appears to be related to a family dispute, although the investigation is ongoing. He said, ‘The scene of the incident is very terrible, we have never seen such a scene before.’

The killer was an old criminal
Bordelon said Elkins had a previous police record and was arrested on a weapons-related charge in 2019. However, no other incidents of domestic violence were reported against him. He said that while fleeing from the spot, the accused had robbed the car at the point of a pistol but the police chased him and killed him.
Tammy Phelps, a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, said some of the children tried to escape through the back door. “It is difficult to imagine the horrific scene that the police and relief workers had to face after arriving here today,” he said at the press conference.
