Two Indians killed in Italy, shot while leaving Gurudwara Sahib

Two Indians were shot dead on Friday night in the town of Covo in the province of Bergamo, Italy. Local media reported this news on Sunday. This incident took place near Gorakhpura Mata Sahib Kaur Ji Gurdwara during Baisakhi festival.
The attack took place when the two men were leaving a warehouse, which was being used for a Sikh shrine, a gurdwara. The attack took place a few minutes before midnight.

Shot several shots and ran away
Both the killed persons were 48 years old. One has been identified as Raginder Singh and the other as Gurmeet Singh. The assailant fired several shots and then fled in a car.
The police have recovered about 10 empty cartridges from the spot. Preliminary investigations have ruled out the possibility of an accidental fight. Police believe it could be a ‘planned attack’.
What did the witness say?
An eyewitness said that the shooter was also Indian and a regular visitor to the shrine. According to the witness, a third person was also injured due to the bullet. However, he was not seriously injured.

On the occasion of Baisakhi, an official function was being held nearby on Saturday, in which local organizations also participated. The police is investigating the whole matter thoroughly.
