In a later interview, Trump also claimed that we would attack Iran and get it (enriched uranium) with a large number of mining machines. It will be brought back to America very soon. Speaking to Axios, Trump said he wants a compromise. I think there is a possibility of a meeting at the end of the week. I think an agreement will be reached in the next couple of days.

Talking to other media houses, Trump said that the Iranian people want to meet. Our relations with Iran are very good. There is no barrier now. We are very close to agreement. It will be good for everyone.

Iranian parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf denied Trump’s claims. He said that Trump has made seven different claims in an hour. All these claims are false. America could not win the war with these lies. Surely he will not have any success in negotiations. He also said that he would close the strategic Strait of Hormuz again if the US continued its blockade of Iranian ports. Shortly after Ghalibaf’s statement, the IRGC recaptured Hormuz.

However, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Ismail Bakai said Iran’s enriched uranium will not be taken anywhere.

Meanwhile, Iran’s deputy foreign minister who arrived in Turkey has said that no date has been set for the second round of talks after the failure of the first round of talks. “We will not decide the date until we agree on the outline,” he said. He said that now we are busy focusing on finalizing the framework of mutual understanding between the two parties. We will not be part of any negotiations or meetings that result in failure and become an excuse to escalate another round of tension.
